I thought you might like to see what all the fuss is about. This is my month old HQ24 Fusion. I love it even more than the HQ16 that I owned for over four years : )
I LOVE that machine. And, seriously, that room looks like a showroom. How neat it all is. Guess that makes it easy to find what you are looking for when you work. Do you listen to music or watch movies while you quilt? If music, what do you normally listen to? I always like to know what people are motivated by when they work! Sandy's quilt looks great on there!
I did. It's from an Atkinson Designs book called "Allegro". I think the book is at Pieceful Quilting, but if not, I'm sure Angie would be more than happy to get it for you. I've never taken a class to make a quilt, so I'm not sure I'd be any good at TEACHING one. If you get your gang to ask, I'm sure Pieceful Quilting would be happy to schedule a class there with someone much more capable than I would be. Thank you for the compliment. I love royal blue, yellow, and lime green together. Just makes me smile to push the pieces through the sewing machine : )
Sheryl, it's the miracle of cropping! If I'd aimed down a little bit or to the right a little bit, you could see what the room really looks like. I could take a picture of my sewing room, and you could see how I work when it's only MY stuff. LOL! I used to crank the music up really loud and sing along. Mostly modern country, but I LOVE Adam Lambert and Lady GaGa : ) Then my daughter told me once that she could hear the music when she pulled into the complex. I never really cared much about music. I would turn my radio on when I left he house and four hours later realize I'd been listening to static for the last two hours. Then my kids gave me an Ipod Nano. I LOVE THAT THING! Only now I have to make sure the windows are shut, because my singing is bad enough with the music blaring, never mind when the neighbors can't HEAR the music. Some longarmers listen to books on tape, but I could never remember a word that was said, because I was so intent on quilting. For the past few months, I've been listening to quilting podcasts most of the time while I quilt. If I miss a word or two, I don't have to worry that I won't figure out whodunnit because I missed an important clue.
Thanks for sharing your photo of your HQ24 Fusion.

Wow, that is a BIG MACHINE!!! Love how organized you room looks with the threads all neatly placed. That looks like a beautiful quilt - is it mine?
ReplyDeleteIt is! And it IS beautiful, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to see Sandy's quilt finished! You both rock!
ReplyDeleteTomorrow, I hope. Thanks : )
ReplyDeleteDeb, I really like the quilt hanging on the wall. Did you make that one? Can you teach a class for us?
