Eastern Long Island Quilters Guild 2012 raffle quilt

This was the 2012 Eastern Long Island Quilters Guild raffle quilt.

I used the Pro-Stitcher for the feathered square in the center of each log cabin, then freehanded ribbon candy in the outer logs.  Many, many logs.

There are perpendicular lines with half inch spacing in the outer border.

Look at all that beautiful texture!

Sheryl's Back to Nature

Sheryl's Back to Nature is a huge quilt.  Since this is a busy pattern and Sheryl knew she was going to put it on her bed, we decided to do an allover pattern.  Sheryl chose Autumn Oaks by Jodi Beamish, which provided well spaced quilting fitting the theme of the fabrics.

Jennie's Pinwheel sampler

This is Jennie's pinwheel sampler.  I love how the pantograph Rhapsody softens the angles of the piecing and adds interest to the setting triangles.  Beautiful quilt, beautifully pieced.

Linda's quilt

I made this quilt for Linda to celebrate her passing the bar exam.  Linda is not only my youngest daughter's best friend, we also consider her a part of our family.  And just like her "sisters", she had to wait a long time to get a quilt LOL!

I took the first picture below on New Year's Day, 2008.  While I'm happy to see that I was doing something I love to start the new year, I'm embarrassed that Linda just got the finished quilt this past Thanksgiving.  Really?  And I'm a longarmer?  Sigh.  It took so long that Linda asked me once if I'd hurry up and finish it before purple was no longer her favorite color LOL!!  I TOLD you she's part of the family!

I think the first photo below shows the correct colors.  At least I hope it does, because the others are a little drab, and Linda is NOT.  This is an Atkinson Design pattern called "Anything Goes", quilted with the pantograph Fantasia with a gorgeous purple variegated King Tut thread.  This one for Linda has scrap purples, but the black is a single fabric from the Dimples fabric line.

I made one for myself in a black/brown/gold colorway, with all fat quarters.  Mine, however, is still just a top.  Maybe by 2015???

Doesn't the photo below look out of focus?  It's the backing fabric!  Look at the pic following it and you can see what it looks like a little closer.

Diane's safari baby quilt

Diane used this cute safari panel to assemble a super fast baby quilt.  She let me know ahead of time that she was going to cut off the outer zebra print border.  I put diamonds in the outer border, loops in the green plaid background and loosely outlined the motifs in the 4 blocks.  The flannel backing was the perfect finishing touch for a baby quilt.

Carol's Jelly roll quilt

Carol made this one from a jelly roll.  I've seen many quilts made with this pattern (or similar ones) and they've ALL looked great.  I think it must be the balanced distribution of color and value across the quilt.  I'm going to move this one up a few lines on my bucket list.  This one is quilted with the Alfresco pantograph.

Carol's homespun plaid

This is the first quilt Carol brought me.  It's made with very loosely woven homespun in my favorite color combination.  I quilted it with loops so I could catch every seam multiple times.
