Ann's "My Eight Girls"

Ann made this quilt a few years back at a retreat.  Here it is hanging at the Eastern Long Island Quilters Guild quilt show in June 2013.  It's sporting a red ribbon from the Duet Medium category and a vendor ribbon from the Quilt Basket.

This was my first time using wool batting.  Isn't this just gorgeous?  I wish I could make these feathers freehand, but since I have not been able to master them--
